Types of Memberships
1. Regular Members
Regular Membership
Regular membership is open to Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 and 35 years, with a minimum academic qualification of the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent.
In line with the Corps’ mission to engage unemployed youths in meaningful and productive activities, this membership category serves as a proactive strategy to reduce crime and social vices. Successful applicants undergo Mandatory Basic Training, after which they are assigned the status of Officers or Men. Regular members are eligible to receive monthly stipends, co-funded by the organization and the institutions or communities where they are deployed.
2. Student members
Student membership
This category is open to students at both secondary and tertiary levels in educational institutions across Nigeria. Student membership is voluntary and provides young people with early exposure to values such as discipline, civic responsibility, and leadership.
To apply, students must complete a membership form in their own handwriting, subject to background checks and profiling. The organization reserves the right to deny admission to any applicant who does not meet the physical, medical, psychological, or ethical standards required for membership.
3. Volunteer
Volunteer Cadre:
The Volunteer Cadre is designed for employed and retired professionals who are passionate about contributing to peace-building and national development. These individuals volunteer their time, knowledge, experience, and skills to support PCN’s mission and programs.
